Personal Projects
lifeworld - clouds (2023)
Taking inspiration from Marc Augé's concept of the non-place.
This work explores an unseen space we all inhabit. From a first-person perspective, the viewer is taken on a short walk through the imagined infrastructure of the internet. The space is slippery and ever-changing, as you encounter the other ghosts who reside there.
First Shown at Set Woolwhich in 2023 as part of the Limbs Plaza compilation album.
A Scale Model of a City (2021)
A large city established like many others due to its proximity to water. The city sits on the bank of a network of rivers and oceans.
Once established, the city expanded in three directions, up, out and down. Systems and networks like those for water, were established and bedded into the ground.
Now the city is home to more than 8 million people, all using and taking part in these systems. A few of the people who live there are Josh, Collin, a few of Collin’s friends, a hedge fund manager, a master planner and a corn snake.
First shown as part of the Chelsea Degree Show and then selected as part of Do Not Research 2021-2022.
